Haiku

I did post one haiku a few months ago, but it was bad, no use linking... I read a little about haiku yesterday, and I thought, lets try writing some. I had to have inspiration moments, the so-called "haiku moments", and i didn't have many... :) Anyway, here's one:

bulb falling to blip
is easy falling in love
with falling darkness

Some Physics Haiku...

(a quantum mech haiku: first of it's kind! ;) )

particle approach
measuring apparatus
wavefunction collapse

lens system: solve it
f 1 19, f2 10
distance between: 12

no F then no a
(inertial frame) F equals ma
action equals reaction

Finally, if you have read my limericks, you must have noticed that i dont pay attention to syllables. But Haiku (actually, Charmaine) forced me to pay attention to syllables... but here are two haikus (well, not haikus) I wrote in frustration:

haiku is difficult
limericks are a piece of cake
anonick not care for the damn syllables

there was a man from japan
who found haiku too hard
but his lims didn;t rhyme
and were incorrect
so he called it five-ku

Finally:

nothing is working
life, haiku, clock, poetry
without a battery

I hope I improve! ;-) Feedback appreciated. :) Dont be too rough, it's my first time...

  1. Personally, I am not too found of Haiku. But the F=ma one was quite good, I believe. Stick to lims, or try writing a Haiku poem, that way, you will get a lot of practice.

  2. Lol! You're improving :)

But yeah, stuck to lims. They're more entertaining and you don't get nearly as frustrated :)

  3. Okay, very weird..no-one seems to have similar opinions as I do
I LOVE the haiku. Please don't stick to lims.

Haiku is somewhat refereshing. It's also more difficult to understand..atleast for me-and when unravelled is much more fascinating than a limerick.

Don't know much about the physics one but the first one was brilliant.

    Keep exploring!

  4. Giggles! I feel privilaged, I witnessed parts of the creative process of the first one :)

And I reconsidered. I think you should expand your horizons a bit. Your lims lately have been a bit... forced, maybe you need a break from them. And you writing haiku is pretty entertaining (at least your frustration is... :P)
