Experiments

Two posts in two days... :D... I was, yesterday, on a zenith of creativity... (now it's gone... I'm my old self today ;-) ). So, I wrote some poems and experimented a little. Here are the two I wrote...

I've tried to experiment, and there're no limericks... they'll come in normal posts as usual, don't worry. :-)

Different

These lines are like the two-line poems of Egden Nash...

The introvert has an obsession with contemplation;
Extrovert, whereas has a fixation with communication.

The immature have a joy in being uncoy;
The mature crave the joy in a toy.

My mind makes trails of logic;
My heart bakes tales of magic.

My studies can't fray my distraction and inaction;
My poems want a fraction of satisfaction.

Alliterative Allegories

Well, this is just an experiment ;-) ... I found it really hard to write something truly meaningful but allterative. Hard to refer to a dictionary for the q-words.

Souls show sour, sore scars
Saints soothe sins, sorrows
Fighters fight faint furrows
Fakers fake a frail farce.

Quakes quiten quail quitters
Cringing crafty crying critters
Wise winners give witty words
Wise words for warring worlds.

Mighty monsters, mythic mysts
Might mar men's mortal minds.
But bravery brings bright breeds
Brilliant brains break brittle braids.

Hope you liked them. :-) Do comment.

  1. nice stuff, these alliterative poems are quite new to me. but are two line poems, really good poetry, i mean seriously, they can't be called poems in its true sense of the term..

  2. I really liked the alliteration :) It was really fun (made me giggle but almost anything does that). And the 2 line ones were... thought invoking... lol!

  3. It's always good to experiment ^^ Also, I fully believe two-liners *do* count as poems. However, two-liners are limited to the purpose of humor or a quick thought, just as haiku are limited to a short detailed bit of nature or any other topic.

    My favorite was definitely,

    "The introvert has an obsession with contemplation;
    Extrovert, whereas has a fixation with communication."

    That was great XD Maybe that's just the kind of thing that appeals to me.
